Returns & Refunds

You may return any items for a refund as long as the goods are in their original condition, unopened, sealed and not used (with exception to faulty items).

You will be required to return these goods at your own cost by Royal Mail or a courier of your choice as long as it is a signed for delivery.

We will not refund damaged, used, opened items. We will process your refund once we have received and inspected your returned goods.

In case of the unlikely event that you have received a faulty item, we will arrange a collection of this item, a courier of our choice will collect the item, we will provide a replacement item or a refund depending on your choice. Please beware that certain items marked with * are subject to manufacturer's inspection prior to any refunds. In case of manufacturer's fault you will receive a full refund or a replacement item. However, if the findings of the inspection indicate a misuse of the item to be the cause of the fault - we will contact you and offer any possible solutions. This will be at your cost - from this moment on any additional costs (fixing the item, postage costs etc) will fall to you,  Derby Nail Academy will despatch this item once we receive a full payment of any costs incurred during the process.

Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations

Goods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item bought on this website for a full refund. This doesn't apply to:

  • Goods and services where the price is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market, and cannot be controlled by the trader.
  • Goods made to the customers specification or are clearly personalised.
  • Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly Newspapers, periodicals, magazines.
  • Sealed  goods if unsealed after delivery
  • Goods that becomes mixed inseparably (according to their nature) with other items after delivery.

To cancel - email customer services. You can cancel anytime from placing your order up to the end of a period 14 days after you take possession of the goods (or in the case of a multiple order, the last part of the order).

Please take reasonable care of the goods, we are entitled to deduct an amount from the refund to reflect any loss in value of the goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling of the goods by you.

In cases where Derby Nail Academy has provided additional training at no cost i.e. training for Strong Filing Systems, use of nail art (sliders, pastes, gel UV polishes, manicure equipment etc) we will deduct the cost of this training from your refund - please refer to our pricelist for courses.

Please make it clear when you cancel that you are cancelling under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations.

Courses

You may cancel an order for services within 14 days of the date of purchase unless the service begins sooner - we will not refund your payment (deposit, full payment).

You may authorise for someone else to take your place - this agreement is between you and that named person, Derby Nail Academy will not hold them responsible for payments - this must be an agreement between you and that named person, you will be held responsible for the outstanding balance if there is any, we will need your full payment no later than the first day of the course. Derby Nail Academy will need this change confirmed no later than 24 hours before the start of the course.

We will look at each individual situation on case by case basis - in serious circumstances (health problems, unexpected commitments etc) we will consider offering you an alternative dates/times. We always endeavour to accommodate our costumers as best as reasonably possible.
